Dayanand Mandrekar

Dayanand Rayu Mandrekar[7] is an Indian politician who served as a four-term member of the Goa Legislative Assembly,[8] representing the Siolim constituency.

Mandrekar served as the Cabinet Minister in the government led by Parrikar from 3 June 2002 to 2 February 2005 and was allotted the portfolios of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Non-Conventional Source of Energy.

[13][14] When the Bharatiya Janata Party regained power post the 2012 election, Mandrekar was inducted as a Cabinet Minister.

Mandrekar served as a Cabinet Minister in the government Laxmikant Parsekar and held the portfolios of Panchayats, Civil Supplies and Price Control, Water Resources, Archives & Archaeology and Art & Culture.

[16][17][18] In a cabinet reshuffle held in October 2015, Mandrekar was stripped of the Panchayats portfolio and the same was allotted to Rajendra Arlekar.
