Hedviga Golik (1924–1966),[1] was a resident of Zagreb, Croatia,[2] who died of unknown natural causes alone in her apartment.
[3][4] In 1966,[5][6] Golik prepared a cup of tea for herself[7] and settled down to watch television in her apartment in Zagreb.
[9] When the police finally entered her apartment on May 12, 2008,[10] they discovered her dead body sitting in the chair in front of her TV.
The apartment was filled with items that hadn't been seen for decades.
Her story was picked up by several media outlets around the world.
