Deborah F. Stanley

Deborah Flemma Stanley is an American lawyer and academic administrator who served as president of the State University of New York at Oswego from August 1, 1997[1] until December 2021.

[6] Stanley was appointed president at SUNY Oswego on August 1, 1997, after serving on an interim basis from 1995 to 1997.

Stanley served as a commissioner for the American Council on Education, and was a member of American Association of State Colleges and Universities Women Presidents group.

[8] On December 20, 2021, the State University of New York Board of Trustees appointed Stanley as Interim Chancellor, after the resignation of Jim Malatras.

In 2022, she received the Donna Shavlik Award from the American Council on Education.
