Debra Saunders-White

Debra Saunders-White (January 8, 1957 – November 26, 2016) was the eleventh chancellor of North Carolina Central University.

She assumed office on June 1, 2013, and was the first woman to hold the permanent position of chancellor at NCCU.

She earned a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Virginia in 1979 and a master of business administration from the College of William and Mary in 1993.

Saunders-White received her doctorate in higher education administration from George Washington University in 2004.
