He is the current Managing Director of NATO's Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA).
[2][3][4] Chana has worked in academia, government, and industry during his career with a particular focus on global risks and low-probability high-impact events.
In particular, he advised politicians in the aftermath of the 2005 London bombings and the 2006 aircraft liquid explosives plot.
[2][3][6][4] Chana joined Imperial College London in July 2012 as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Security Science and Technology, where he ultimately became the Director.
[1][2][6] He was the Chair of NATO's Emerging and Disruptive Technology Advisory Group before becoming the inaugural Managing Director of DIANA in 2023.
