[1] Primarily an opening batsman, Morgan had his best season in 1988–89, when he was the highest scorer in the Red Stripe Cup, with 435 runs at an average of 54.37.

[2] That season he hit his two highest first-class scores: 122 against Guyana[3] and, a week later, 111 against Leeward Islands.

[7] Morgan captained Jamaica several times in the 1990s, and was later a member of the national selection panel.
