[3] The house was later added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 10, 1977 for its significance in architecture, education, and social history.
[4] The house was built by George H. Cook and architect Charles Graham in 1868.
[5] The two and one-half story ashlar brownstone building features Victorian Gothic architecture.
Since then the building has served a variety of purposes at Rutgers University.
As of 2022 it houses various offices for the Rutgers School of Social Work.
