Deng Deng National Park is in the Northern Congolian forest-savanna mosaic ecoregion.
The park is also home to chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes), African forest elephants (Loxodonta cyclotis), hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius), giant pangolin (Smutsia gigantea), and yellow-backed duiker (Cephalophus silvicultor).
