Denmark Township, Ohio

[3] Located in the eastern part of the county, it borders the following townships: No municipalities are located in Denmark Township.

[4] The area now composing Denmark Township was long inhabited by the Seneca Indian tribe.

Peter Knapp, a New Yorker who arrived in 1809, was the first Euro-American settler in the area.

[6] The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1.

Currently, the board is composed of chairman Charles Frye and members Chad Corron and Fred Williams.
