One of the firm's major projects in this role was the design of the building systems for the new campus of the Harvard Medical School in Boston, in collaboration with architects Shepley, Rutan & Coolidge.
[1] They began providing structural engineering services as well, and with the hiring of architect Henry C. Robbins in 1907 were capable of handling all areas of building design.
[2] He worked for the General Electric Company and for Siemens & Halske of America before joining the office of consulting engineer Hollis French in Boston in January 1896.
He was educated in the private school of George Washington Copp Noble in Boston before entering Harvard University.
[5] He then worked for a year in the engineering department of the West End Street Railway before forming his partnership with Densmore in 1897.
The LeClear family lived at 86 Upland Road in the Waban neighborhood of Newton, Massachusetts, in a house built in 1916.
In 1897 the entered the architectural school of Harvard University as part of the class of 1901, but left after completing his freshman year.
