Born in Haverfordwest, Brace began his career as a trainee with Norwich City, turning professional in July 1993.
He left in April 1994 to join Wrexham having failed to make the first team at Carrow Road.
In June 2002 he was appointed player-manager of Haverfordwest, at the age of just 27 years, guiding them to a UEFA Cup spot in his second season in charge.
He initially remained as player,[1][2] but was released later that month by new manager Derek Brazil[3] and rejoined Carmarthen Town.
[4] He was appointed as player-manager of Carmarthen in May 2007,[5] where he remained for three years before stepping down in June 2010.
