Devkhal Jheel (Maithili: देवखाल झील) is an ancient lake believed to be the location where the dialogues between Yaksha and Yudhishthira took place in the epic Mahabharata.
[2][3][4] Devkhal Jheel is a famous lake located at Bhagwanpur Kamala Panchayat in the Ujiyarpur block of the Samastipur district in the Mithila region of Bihar in India.
[5] According to legend, it is believed that the Devkhal Jheel was the location associated with the epic Mahabharata where the famous dialogues between Yaksha and Yudhishthira took place.
[6] In the vicinity of the Devkhal Chaur, there is another ancient place known as Jaymangla Mata Sthan.
