Dhadiyasa II

[4][5] Vaddiga was succeeded by his son Dhadiyasa (also known as Dhadiyappa II)[4] around 970 CE, as stated in the Vratakhanda.

[3] Dhadiyasa's name is conspicuously missing from all the grants mentioned here, and it may indicate a rift in his relationship with his brother, Bhillama II.

At that time, the Rashtrakuta throne was either held by Khottiga, Krishna's younger brother, or Karka II, his nephew.

However Bhillama, and Dhadiyasa's father, Vaddiga has been recorded to be a sincere feudatory to the Rashtrakuta dynasty.

This could be a reason for Dhadiyasa's name not appearing in Bhillama's grants or those issued by his direct successors.
