Dhakar or Kirar/Kirad is a Hindu agricultural Kshatriya caste in the Indian states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
[1][2][3] Dhakar or Dhakad was an important merchant and Kshatriya community in Rajasthan mentioned in several inscriptions.
They consider themselves the descendants of Baldauji (Balram, elder brother of Lord Krishana).
They live in Tonk, Bundi, Kota, Jhalawar, Sawaimadhopur, Chittorgarh and Ajmer districts.
