Dianne P. O'Leary

She is Distinguished University Professor Emerita of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park,[2] and is the author of the book Scientific Computing with Case Studies (SIAM, 2009).

[2] Her dissertation, Hybrid Conjugate Gradient Algorithms, was supervised by Gene H.

From 2009 to 2015 she was editor in chief of the SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications.

[2] She was named a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery in 2006, "for mentoring activities and contributions to numerical algorithms",[2][5] and became one of the inaugural Fellows of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) in 2009.

[2][6] In 2008 she was the Sonia Kovalevsky Lecturer of SIAM and the Association for Women in Mathematics.
