Diego Jiménez Torres Airport

Diego Jiménez Torres Airport (IATA: FAJ, ICAO: TJFA, FAA LID: X95) was a public use airport owned by the Puerto Rico Ports Authority and located 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Fajardo, a city in Puerto Rico.

[citation needed] In February 2015 the FAA announced the permanent closure of the airport on April 30, 2015.

Diego Jiménez Torres Airport covered an area of 95 acres (38 ha) at an elevation of 64 feet (20 m) above mean sea level.

The asphalt paved runway designated 8/26 measured 3,600 by 75 feet (1,097 x 23 m), and is marked closed.
