Dietrich Langko (1 June 1819, Hamburg - 8 November 1896, Munich) was a German landscape painter; especially known for his winter scenes.
After finishing primary school, he was apprenticed as a theatrical stage painter in Hamburg.
In 1840, with Gensler's help, he obtained a scholarship that enabled him to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich.
Once there, he found a place in the circle of painters associated with Christian Morgenstern, who was also from Hamburg.
In 1869, Schleich organized a large exhibition at the Glaspalast, which turned out to be Langko's career breakthrough.
