Diodato Gentile

(1555–1616) was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Caserta (1604–1616) and Apostolic Nuncio to Naples (1611–1616).

[1] Diodato Gentile was born in Genoa, Italy 1555 and ordained a priest in the Order of Preachers.

[2] On 9 July 1604, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Clement VIII as Bishop of Caserta.

[2] On 6 March 1611, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Paul V as Apostolic Nuncio to Naples.

[2] He served as Bishop of Caserta and Apostolic Nuncio to Naples until his death in April 1616.
