A drill and hip hop song, it was written by Pop Smoke alongside producer 808Melo, and was issued as the third and final single from the tape on February 11, 2020.

The solo version appeared again on Pop Smoke's posthumous debut studio album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon (2020), then finally once more on the deluxe edition of its follow-up Faith (2021).

After Pop Smoke was murdered at the age of 20 in a home invasion, "Dior" debuted at number 49 on the US Billboard Hot 100 based on 12 million streams in the week ending February 20, 2020.
