Donna Jane Hope née Bauer OAM (born 4 October 1970)[1] is an Australian politician who represented the Liberal Party as the member for Carrum in the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 2010 to 2014, having previously served as the Deputy Mayor of the City of Kingston.
Hope obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from RMIT University and was previously employed as a Corporate Communications Consultant at the City of Greater Dandenong.
[5] While in Parliament, Hope walked the Kokoda trail in July 2013, raising money for charities, Matt's Place and Pantry 5000.
[citation needed] Since departing Parliament, Bauer has worked variously as an airline hostess[13] and an electorate officer for Member for Mornington Chris Crewther.
[14] Bauer was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2024 King's Birthday Honours for "service to the people and Parliament of Victoria, and to bowel cancer awareness".
