Dorothy Awes Haaland

Dorothy Awes Haaland (October 3, 1918[1] – February 23, 1996[2] ) was an American lawyer and politician.

[1] That year, she served as a delegate at the Alaska Constitutional Convention, alongside Helen Fischer.

Haaland co-founded the National Organization for Women chapter in Anchorage.

She served on the board of the Women's Resource Center and was president of St. Joan's International Alliance.

[6] Around 1994, she suffered a stroke and moved to Bothell, Washington, to live with her son.
