Dortches is a town in Nash County, North Carolina, United States.
It is part of the Rocky Mount, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The Dortch House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
[4] On July 19, 2023, a EF3 tornado would strike the town, destroying many homes and leveling half of a local Pfizer plant.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.7 square miles (20 km2), all land.
