Douglas L. Jones is the William L. Everitt Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
In July through September 1998 he was a participant in the Programme on Nonlinear and Nonstationary Signal Processing at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cambridge, England.
In the Spring semester of 1999 he served as the Texas Instruments Visiting Professor at Rice University.
In 2002, Jones was elevated to Fellow of the IEEE for contributions to adaptive and statistical time-frequency analysis.
