Douglas Monypenny

Douglas Blackwell Monypenny (28 May 1878 – 22 February 1900, in Paardeberg[1]) was a Scottish international rugby player, He played for London Scottish FC.

[2] Monypenny played for the Anglo-Scots in 1898.

He was capped three times for Scotland in the 1899 Home Nations Championship, scoring a try in the game against Wales.

[1][2] Monypenny was killed in the Second Boer War, and is the only Scottish rugby internationalist known to have died in either conflict.
