Frederick Douglass Academy for Young Men is a Detroit, Michigan grade 9-12 school exclusively for boys.
[1] It is named after Frederick Douglass and it is located in Woodbridge,[2] in the former Murray–Wright High School.
[1] In July 2006, the Michigan Legislature passed a bill permitting the establishment of all girls' and boys' public schools.
The activist Helen Moore and two Detroit Public Schools school members, Reverend David Murray and LaMar Lemmons III, marched with the students.
