Dunes Review is an online literary magazine[1][2][3][4] based in northern Michigan.
[7] The Beach Bards of Glen Arbor also contribute financially for the poetry prizes.
A key early focus of the magazine was on promoting regional writing and to raise consciousness about Northern Michigan writers.
The Glen Arbor Art Association began to share financial, advisory, and publication responsibilities with Michigan Writers (Traverse City).
[11][12] The magazine has held four distinct contests: "A hearty appetite for literature can be sated with the latest Dunes Review journal and 2011 chapbooks by Denise R. Baker (poetry) and Joan Schmeichel (short fiction) — all published by Michigan Writers."
