East Brainerd, Tennessee

East Brainerd is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place (CDP) in Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 14,132 people, 4,839 households, and 4,151 families residing in the CDP.

There were 4,982 housing units at an average density of 575.5 per square mile (222.2/km2).

The racial makeup of the CDP was 88.38% White, 7.79% African American, 0.13% Native American, 2.26% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.46% from other races, and 0.98% from two or more races.

11.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
