As of the 2020 census[1] there were 1,229 people, 711 households, and 399 families residing in the township.

The racial makeup of the township was 95.12% White, 0.24% African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.24% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 0.24% from other races, and 3.99% from two or more races.

There were 711 households, out of which 24.10% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.16% were married couples living together, 2.11% had a female householder with no spouse present, and 43.88% were non-families.

35.70% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.20% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
