Full accreditation was granted in June 2010, shortly after the first class of the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy graduated.

[17] Current men's sports at ETSU are football, baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis and track and field.

Women's sports are basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field and volleyball.

Men's soccer competed at the club level in the fall of 2007, before entering NCAA and Atlantic Sun competition as a scholarship program in the 2008 season.
