Ebenezer Allen (Texas politician)

Ebenezer C. Allen (April 8, 1804 – 1863) was Secretary of State and the last Attorney General of the Republic of Texas.

Allen moved to Orono, Maine, and married Sylvina Morse in 1833.

On December 9, 1844, Allen was elected Attorney General of the Republic of Texas.

In 1850, Allen was elected Attorney General as a Democrat, serving under Governor Peter Hansborough Bell from 1850 to 1853.
