Ebenezer Sekyi-Hughes

Ebenezer Begyina Sekyi Hughes (born 4 September 1939) was the Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana between 2005 and 2009.

[1] Ebenezer Sekyi-Hughes was born on 4 September 1939 at Cape Coast,[2] the capital of the Central Region of Ghana.

In 1961 he gained admission to the University of Ghana, Legon, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1964.

Sekyi-Hughes was the President of the Western Region Branch of the Ghana Bar Association from 1977 to 1981.

[4] Sekyi-Hughes was elected by the chiefs and people of the Western Region to the Council of State of Ghana in 2001.
