[4][5] He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University in 1987,[6] where he studied with Alvin Lucier,[7] and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Mills College in 1993.
[8][9] Osborn lives in Providence, Rhode Island[10] and is an associate professor of art at Brown University.
[14][15][16] Osborn has also worked with video as an art form,[17][18] and done sound performances.
[19][20] His installation works use objects as diverse as train sets,[21] rubber tubing,[22] wind-up music boxes[23] and fans to create a visual and sound environment.
[2][25][26] Osborn was a 2000 Artist-in-Residence at the McColl Center for Art + Innovation.
