Edgewood is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Coal Township, in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States, immediately adjacent to the western border of the City of Shamokin.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 2,619 people, 1,184 households, and 732 families residing in the CDP.

There were 1,318 housing units at an average density of 2,678.8 per square mile (1,034.3/km2).

35.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 22.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
