Additionally, he holds honorary doctorates from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon, in Monterrey, Mexico, and the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, for his contributions to the development of electric power systems worldwide.
