He purchased lands in Wenvoe, St Andrews, Llandow, Rhiwperra and Michaelston-y Vedw.
The original male line was named (ap) Harpwaye, of Tresimont.
Their son and heir William Thomas married Mary, the daughter of Philip, Lord Wharton[8] with whom he had two children, Edmund and Anna.
On William Thomas's death in 1677, his wife Mary inherited the estates of Wenvoe and Ruperra.
Their two children, both died prematurely and on Mary's death, in 1699, the estates passed to her sister-in-law Elizabeth, Edmund Thomas's elder sister whose first marriage was to Edmund Ludlow.
