Edward Faitoute Condict Young

Young, was a banker, manufacturer and politician, who unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination for Governor of New Jersey in 1892.

[2] Edward Faitoute Condict Young was born in Malapardis, New Jersey on January 25, 1835.

He married Harriet M. Strober on July 26, 1854, and they had two children – Edward Lewis and Hattie Louise.

In 1874, he was elected to the Hudson County, New Jersey Board of Chosen Freeholders and in 1876 became the first director-at-large.
