Edwin G. Waite

Edwin G. Waite (died 30 October 1894) was an American politician, newspaper man, author, and goldminer.

[1] He belonged to the Whig, Know Nothing, Union, and Republican parties during his political career.

[4] He was the coauthor of The Discovery of Gold in California, which included a section entitled 'Pioneer Mining'—a reprint of Waite's recollection experiences in the gold diggings period (1849–1851).

[5] He married Julia Eliza Stone (born March 17, 1839)[6] on May 13, 1856.
