Eleanora Elaine Tate (born 1948) is an American author and educator.
[1] Notably, she has written books and short stories for children and young adults and also worked as a newspaper reporter.
A native of Canton, Missouri, she attended Drake University, graduating in 1973 with a degree in journalism.
(1990) was named Children's Book of the Year by the National Council for the Social Studies, and A Blessing in Disguise (1995) was an American Booksellers Association "Pick of the List".
