Elmira is a village in northwest Ray County, Missouri, and part of the Kansas City metropolitan area within the United States.
[7] A post office called Elmira was established in 1887, and remained in operation until 1959.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.07 square miles (0.18 km2), all land.
The racial makeup of the village was 93.90% White, 2.44% Native American, and 3.66% from two or more races.
There were 10.0% of families and 20.2% of the population living below the poverty line, including 29.4% of under eighteens and 50.0% of those over 64.
