Alabama State Route 14 passes through the town, leading east 7 miles (11 km) to Wetumpka and west 10 miles (16 km) to Prattville.

Montgomery, the state capital, is 15 miles (24 km) to the south via Cook Road and Coosada Parkway.

As of the 2020 United States census, there were 1,280 people, 362 households, and 268 families residing in the town.
