Elmtown, Texas

Elmtown is an unincorporated community in Anderson County, located in the U.S. state of Texas.

This community was named for the elm trees that lined the nearby Mound Prairie creek.

It had only two businesses and ten settlers in 1933 and not long after, its population was estimated as 50 in the late 1930s.

It was still listed on county highway maps to refer to the community's extension at that same time.
