The Elsbett, or Elko (known for "Elsbett Konstruktion"), engine is an 89 horsepower (66 Kilowatt), direct-injection diesel engine that was invented by Ludwig Elsbett[1] It is designed to run on pure plant oil (PVO).
Elsbett AG, the current manufactuerer, is based in Thalmässing, Bavaria.
