[4][5] In 2024, she was named one of Filmmaker Magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film".

[6] In 2012, Emma graduated from Duke University, where she was a Robertson Scholar.

[9] Emma produced What We Leave Behind, which premiered at South by Southwest in 2022, winning two Special Jury Awards, and received a Gotham Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature.

[10][11] She directed the documentary short The School of Canine Massage, which premiered at South by Southwest in 2024.
