[1] Born in Batouri on 14 January 1947, Bonde studied at the École normale supérieure de Yaoundé [fr] and became a schoolteacher.
[2] He was then appointed attaché to the president's economic and social council, where he remained until 1978.
[2] In 2006, Bonde was appointed Minister of the Public Service and Administrative Reform [fr], where he served until 2011.
[3] That year, he was appointed Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development [fr], a position he held until 2015.
[2] A longtime member of the CPDM, he resigned from the party upon his appointment to the Constitutional Council [fr] in 2018.
