[2] Naar joined Saint Mary's College of California just before classes started in 2013 and redshirted his first year.

[5] As a junior, Naar was an Honorable Mention All-West Coast Conference selection.

[10] On 2 May 2018, Naar signed a three-year deal with the Illawarra Hawks of the National Basketball League (NBL).

[13] On 1 August 2022, Naar signed a one-year deal with Heroes Den Bosch of the Dutch BNXT League.

[16] At the 2024 NBL1 National Finals, he helped the Meteors reach the championship game, where they lost 87–84 to the Knox Raiders despite Naar's triple-double of 21 points, 18 assists and 10 rebounds.

[18] On 29 October 2024, Naar signed with the Brisbane Bullets as nominated replacement player for the remainder of the 2024–25 NBL season.
