The Ministry of Electricity and Water in collaboration with the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement a groundbreaking solar energy initiative.

The project, aiming to generate 1 gigawatt of electricity through solar power, is being carefully prepared for tender, intending to engage suitable enterprises for implementing the plan.

The selected company will procure the energy through a contractual agreement spanning 25 to 30 years.
