It is one of seven power stations that Uniper owns and operates in the United Kingdom.

Using an Alstom GT26B2.2 gas turbine,[1][5] to drive an electrical generator rated at 500 MVA and with a terminal voltage of 21 kV.

Waste heat is recovered by a Combustion Engineering heat recovery steam generator to drive an Alstom Steam Turbine unit connected via a SSS clutch to the main powertrain.
