It is found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Katanga), Gambia, Madagascar, Sierra Leone, South Africa (KwaZulu-Natal), Tanzania (Zanzibar) and Zimbabwe.

Adults have been recorded on wing year round.

The larvae feed on Clerodendrum species.
