Eric Stokes (composer)

Eric Stokes (1930 – March 16, 1999) was a composer,[1] whose work spanned an eclectic range of influences and styles.

Stokes was born in Haddon Heights, New Jersey, about ten miles southeast of Philadelphia.

Stokes studied piano at an early age and began composing on his own in high school.

His music was a reflection of his life and personality: eccentric and humorous with an ability to blur the lines between fantasy and reality.

According to police reports, Stokes was driving west on 94 from Saint Paul when he collided with a highway repair vehicle parked on the shoulder.
