Erivan male gymnasium (Russian: Эриванская гимназия) was opened on January 14, 1832, as an Erivan uezd school, in 1869 it became a progymnasium, and on March 31, 1881, it became a gymnasium.

The Erivan male gymnasium, opened in 1881, had 216 students and the director of the gymnasium was Vladimir Iosifovich Brazhnikov.

Firidun Bey Kocherli, an outstanding educator, was a night teacher in this gymnasium in 1885-1895 and then worked as a teacher of calligraphy in the preparatory class.

Ismayil Bey Shafibeyov was the head of the Muslim department of the Erivan Gymnasium.
